KB Home CEO Has Bonus Slashed

 

        The fight between comedian Kathy Lee Griffin and KB Home CEO Jeffrey Mezger heats up.   KB Home CEO Jeff Mezger does not live in one of his poorly built starter homes. I doubt his house leaks like the ones he builds.    He lives high on a bluff in a mansion overlooking a canyon outside Los Angeles. His next door neighbor, Kathy Lee Griffin, who was let go from CNN after she was photographed holding a decapitated head of Donald Trump,  shattered his privileged world when she filed a noise complaint against Mezger. Mezger was caught on audio shouting politically incorrect slurs and profanities at Griffin.  New York Post

        Griffin sued for a restraining order and Mezger sued back.  The two have been in court for months duking it out. KB Home’s board reacted to his vulgar language by cutting his bonus.  But I wouldn’t worry too much about Jeff. I‘m sure his board will take care of him ultimately. They weren’t this concerned about the crummy houses he built, the warranties he didn’t honor, or the hundreds of news stories written about homeowner victims who are just ordinary people.  You can cheat the public all you want and still get invited to parties or to be on the board of corporations. We are not the ones who matter. Too bad Jeff Mezger doesn’t  lose his bonus for the things he does every day in a normal course of business.  LA Times
